國立屏東大學前進紐澳開創先機 為國外教育見實習及學術交流開啟新篇章
 

113年2月26日起由國立屏東大學陳永森校長帶領陳皇州國際長及本校代表團展開為期兩週的澳紐學術之旅，旨在促進教育部辦理國外教育見實習計畫與當地中等以下學校之合作機會，此行成果豐碩，除了獲得紐澳各校、台商支持紐西蘭教育部也認同本計畫之宗旨，願意開啟與臺灣教育學術合作之大門，確保臺灣師資生能夠順利進行見實習計畫，為教育交流搭建了堅實基礎。

代表團一行於澳洲布里斯本展開此次拓點行程，拜訪當地政府單位與中文教學聞名之Calamvale社區完全中學（含幼兒園）及中天寺中文學校，向師生介紹國外教育見實習計畫，期間與兩校師生開心互動，取得兩校同意與本計畫合作之意願，同意包括中等學校、國民小學、幼兒園等師資類科師資生入校見實習，成功完成澳洲拓點任務。

此外拜訪澳洲格里菲斯大學大學、昆士蘭科技大學，澳洲國際飯店管理學院等，各有其教育特色之大學教授願意提供與臺灣之學術交流機會，也表達願意協助引薦本計畫適合合作之中小學及幼兒園，其中ICHM為地處南澳，進行學術交流不易，有該校的協助，也開啟職業學校的師資培育合作的新契機。

National Pingtung University Explores Opportunities in New Zealand and Australia, Pioneering Initiatives for Overseas Education Internships and Academic Exchange

Starting from February 26, 2024, President Robert Chen of National Pingtung University led a delegation, including the Dean of International Affairs, Kelvin Chen, on a two-week academic journey to New Zealand and Australia. The aim was to facilitate cooperation opportunities with local primary and secondary schools and the Ministry of Education, as part of an innovative overseas education internship program. The initiative received positive responses, securing support from educational institutions in both New Zealand and Australia, and earning recognition from the New Zealand Ministry of Education. This support expressed a willingness to foster academic cooperation with Taiwan, ensuring the smooth implementation of internship programs for Taiwanese teacher trainees and laying a solid foundation for future educational exchanges.

In Brisbane, Australia, the delegation visited local government bodies and esteemed Chinese educational institutions, such as Calamvale Community College (which includes a kindergarten) and the Zhongtian Temple Chinese School. They introduced the overseas education internship program, engaging with teachers and students in productive interactions and securing collaborative agreements. Both institutions agreed to host teacher trainees across various education-related disciplines, including at secondary school, primary school, and kindergarten levels, marking a successful completion of their mission in Australia.

The visit also included meetings with Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology, and the International College of Hotel Management, among others. Faculty from these institutions, known for their distinctive educational offerings, showed enthusiasm for academic exchanges with Taiwan. They offered to assist in identifying suitable primary and secondary schools, as well as kindergartens for program collaboration. Additionally, with the support from institutions like the International College of Hotel Management, which highlighted the logistical challenges of conducting academic exchanges from its South Australian location, new pathways for collaboration in vocational teacher training were established.
